Perfect and stunning location, Santos Dumont airport was 5 km away. We stayed in a tastefully decorated and exquisite room, and really enjoyed it.

We loved the convenience of the deluxe double room with amazing views. The staff was amiable, incredibly nice with every request.

The total stay was very nice in how you are and what you did during your visit. The location of the hotel was stunning - just a short walk away from an 18th - century aqueduct. Food was fresh and awesome; the staff were amicable.

It was in an absolutely perfect and exceptionally nice location just next door to a hot day sightseeing in Rio, the tropical garden and Santa Teresa or the Samba places in Lapa.

The location of Casa Geranio was ideal for exploring the vibrant Santa Teresa neighborhood. I loved being able to walk to the nearby restaurants and bars. The hotel itself was immaculately clean and our room was spacious and comfortable. The highlight for me was the beautiful garden, filled with exotic birds and even monkeys. Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the terrace, with a variety of fresh fruits and pastries. The hosts, Claudio and Gabriel, were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, always available to assist us with any questions or needs. I felt right at home at Casa Geranio and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rio.

It was a wonderful old hotel in an interesting area, very close to the historic Rio neighborhoods of Lapa, Santa Teresa and Lapa and Rio´s city center and Lapa and Rio´s Cinelandia metro station.

it's a lovely place with beautiful rooms and stunning location. the staff is lovely and amazing and the atmosphere is quiet. rio de janeiro is good for trip, gloria underground station is nearby.

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled within a lush and exotic garden on a steep hill. The breathtaking view of the city from the terrace is simply amazing. The rooms are cozy and offer stunning views of Rio. The breakfast with fresh fruits and homemade cakes on the terrace is a delightful way to start the day.

The breakfast was really nice and it was possible to enjoy some good walks in the area. The bed was also comfortable. The staff gave us some useful information about the city.

We booked for Easter weekend and the pool was not available due to refurbishment as we expected to use it. the room was quite small for two people who have more than one suitcase.

The location was perfect for us as it was close to the bars in Lapa, but we still had a relaxing stay in lush gardens with a truly amazing view of a beautiful city. The service from the hosts was impeccable with helpful guidance on tours and recommendations on the food and bars in both Santa Teresa and Lapa. The breakfast was a highlight with homemade baked goods, fresh fruits, and fruit juices that changed daily. The communal areas were stunning and the room was stylish, clean, and comfortable.

The only minor downside we noticed was the presence of bugs due to the lovely gardens around the hotel, but nothing that insect repellent couldn't handle.
